This museum was opened in March 2007 as a prehistoric museum supported by the Daejeon City. It consists of five exhibition rooms that show from the Paleolithic period to Iron Age including ‘Nueun Prehistoric Culture Hall.’ This museum introduces the cultural origin of Daejeon area, which was formed around the Gapcheon River. This museum not only exhibits antiquity but it also operates various education programs that meet the community’s need. During the vacation period, the museum operates culture schools with various topics. During weekends, it hosts traditional cultural events for the family. Adults travel to the cultural sites. This museum includes a reference room that helps to investigate and learn about remains as well as providing an outdoor place where people experience houses of the Bronze Era and Pre-Three Kingdom Era of Korea
